You all didn't trank'em first? Every so often we got 2 year old's we have to do, and the vet always tranks them first. Cracks me up loading them back in the trailer for the trip home. Suddenly the bulls are everyone's buddies..-WW

I would hope so but what happens if he changes his mind?

Anyways... It looks like good honest work. All the best!

What a great machine,

How else are you going to manage them other than the vet knocking them out with a shot of something.

Normally we just put them in a squeeze and restrain the leg being worked on. Our old bull needed to get his hooves worked on once a year.

Has anyone here ever tipped a cow ? The only time we ever tried, was unsuccessful .
My first apartment was the top floor of a barn converted to an apartment. It was a killer nice place out in the middle of some of the most beautiful pa farmland that one could ever imagine I wish I still lived there .
After a night of heavy drinking, somehow, we ended up out in the pasture . My buddy John rammed that cow broadside with everything he had, and the cow did not budge . Then , he tried to push it over from its hind quarter, and got kicked pretty hard . Hard enough that he had a limp on the way home. To make matters worse, he got cut pretty bad crossing back over the barbed wire fence on our way back home. Karma.
No cows were tipped that night .

I've heard that 20% is the proper tip.

I've never done cow tipping, but I practice on the dogs.

As you shoulder tackle them you reach underneath and grab their front leg on the other side. that way they can't step out sideways to brace themselves, and over they go.
