meh. seems a reach.

UV light is a disinfectant and so is Lysol, therefore Lysol is UV light? - meh. weak tea.

The thing is, those States, counties and cities do NOT want to patrol parks and beaches.

Around here, where small lake-front walkways have park facilities, we have locked/closed restrooms and they have even pulled garbage bins.

The "public servants" are getting paid to stay home. Meanwhile, private garbage collectors keep on doing their jobs, thankfully.

Lots of the "public servants" are loving this situation. Getting paid for nothing, with pension and vacation accruing... minimal risk of losing their jobs. Well, unless the pitch-forks come out. Which is why they are staying pretty quiet about it all, but otherwise won't mind a bit if this continues.

I will agree with this statement, however, here in NYC this is not the case. All our city workers are still collecting trash, operating trains and buses although I find this a problem. There have been many city workers who have fallen ill and died. All my life I saw the NYC employee to be very happy to work as little as possible. But, I am surprised to see how well they have been doing in this crisis.

BTW, I prefer bleach over Lysol whenever I ingest a disinfectant.

Interesting. And our buses are still driving around. Ridiculously slowly as they have so few stops needed. We also have a ridiculously expensive light rail project that continues construction. Private construction is verboten. Anyway, weird to be building a virus focal transportation tube that lands at Microsoft... They are most all working remotely.

The company that makes Lysol and Dettol is urging customers not to consume its cleaning products after President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of injecting disinfectants to protect people from coronavirus.

Reckitt Benckiser (RBGLY), a British company, warned Friday that human consumption of disinfectant products is dangerous. It issued the statement following "recent speculation and social media activity."
"As a global leader in health and hygiene products, we must be clear that under no circumstance should our disinfectant products be administered into the human body (through injection, ingestion or any other route)," the company said in a statement.

RB said products should only be "used as intended and in line with usage guidelines.

"We have a responsibility in providing consumers with access to accurate, up-to-date information as advised by leading public health experts," the company said.

And Tide pods.

What happened to Darwin awards?

NY65912 04-24-2020 09:42 AM

Shaun, I just made my first Clorox poop. It was a somewhat florescent green, mixed with a red liquid.

Shaun @ Tru6 04-24-2020 09:52 AM

I only have a bio/biochem degree and am not a doctor but I don't think that's supposed to happen. Could be wrong.

And that's why some people would say you are a hypocrite. It looks as if you wish to ignore the part of the law that you inconveniently disagree with, and then feign ignorance in order to get away with it.

Ring of Fire is from bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos, the green thing is something else. What did the poop look like with a Wood's lamp on it?

What does it do to the modeling if it was already in California in December?

They call them "patient zero." If'n you change what zero means, it must do something to the math.

Could we already be in the second wave? There was a respiratory thing that was going around last Fall. Is it possible that was the first wave, and we are rocking number two right now?

Dear Shaun,
I would like to pertect myself from the Democrat Rona viris.
I would like to, for I fear for my life. I think the left is sending the Rona bugs to get me. But I am confused. Do I smear it on my face, nose, eyeballs, and/or oral cavity? Do I stick it in my ears? Do I ingest it my mouth, or do a nasal drench, or do I administer it as an (excuse the language) anal enema like thing?
My hero Mr Trump has given me no guidance on how to protect myself. Should I use drain cleaner instead of Lysol? It sounds more Trumpian.

^^^ if you've ever scrolled through the comments sections after articles on foxnews.com, that's a pretty fair interpretation of the site's readership.

God I wish we could have a meritocracy.

strict scrutiny is a specific term of art - it relates to racial discrimination
reasonable will be the phrase here - and I'm sure there will be some cases brought eventully - maybe legion can bring one

You must not have been paying attention in your con law class. Strict scrutiny is one level of analysis used by the courts to determine the constitutionality of the actions of other governmental bodies. They may determine whether an act by the President, Congress, a national, state, or local administrative official, a state legislature, a local governing board, or a lower court is valid. It is a level of scrutiny applied to classifications that are alleged to violate constitutional rights to equal protection of the laws. Racial discrimination is just one of many constitutional issues where strict scrutiny is applied.
