Do the classified guidelines not apply to everyone?
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/149727-read-me-before-you-post-guidelines-posting-forum-updated-9-28-2017-a.html
- You may *bump* your ad, but no more than once every three (3) days. Ads that have been bumped more than eight (8) times may be closed. After a thread is closed, the parts advertised therein cannot be posted again for four weeks. - You may not create more than FOUR different posts at any one time, or have more than four posts bumped onto the first page of the classifieds at any one time in a 24-hour period. The reason for this is to allow space for everyone to buy and sell |
Because of the corona virus congress has given us 1 bump per day as long as we are wearing a mask. The Pelican Corona Virus Aid package also allows up to 10 items at once for people with dependents as long as they follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask while using PayPal.
Chris Cuomo no rules apply to him, he may do as he wishes without interference. |

Since there is a dedicated classifieds section, it makes me wonder if anyone is supposed to be selling anything outside that section of the forums.
These rules are in the classifieds rules list, and seem to be broken quite a bit as well: - No user is allowed to post product for sale that they make. If you want to list a product that you make and sell it to the community you need to contact an Administrator to set up your product in our catalog. Only vendors of Pelican Parts may sell product on our forum. - No new parts allowed, unless you specifically clear it an Administrator first. Exceptions are if you have one or two small trinkets left over in a box from a long time ago. Selling more than quantity one of a new item is prohibited. - No rebuilt parts allowed, if they compete with items sold by Pelican. |
Erasing the sold price is irksome.

So if you are one of the JO's that removes the price, yes I may very well have cursed you. :D |

How,about the posting EBay ads with no price just a link so you can bid ! That irks me no end and there is one particular offender who simply says WAyne receives a cut when a sale derives from a pelican ...
Hey MoFo Wayne doesn't call the shots any longer ! |
I always leave the posted price after sale. It give other sellers something to go by if they are selling the same part. All I add to the post is SOLD!

We've got one guy with 7 on the first page as I write this. I think I've seen 18 before.
|
Some long time members almost never post a price and pretty much never get called on.
Yet, when a newbie doesn't people come out of the woodwork to call them on it.. |
Oliver I think he means you....

Okay I admit I have managed to have 4, maybe five on the front page but thats because you guys aren't active enough at times to get my early ones to page two.. Get busy men or just post and buy my stuff! |
There are 15 posts on the front page from one person. New record?
|
I've seen 18, but 15 is damned impressive. I wonder what they think when doing that.

More scofflaws today. Darn rule breakers!

Pedro, could be, as IS the case with me (a scofflaw today - with 5) that I don’t remember all I have listed and once I go back through my started threads (sometimes weeks later) and seen what hasn’t sold, I bring “up to date”. With all the different people posting items for sale it doesn’t take long for the items to get pushed back to pages way beyond the first, usually within hours. It’s pretty easy to scan through the ads quickly and move on. I DO agree though with the sentiments on posters removing the prices on sold items.
