In theory, what a wonderful car. In actual practice, what an unqualified failure. Every long-term road test I have ever read has decried their absolute lack of reliability. It was either Car and Driver or Road and Track that had one for a year, in which it spent over four months in the shop for various faults. While they loved driving it when they had it, they ultimately rated it as one of the worst cars they ever tested.

They are trying to stay true to the reputation of the marque

If you wait for a few years, you can pick one up 12/12

(12 grand for a car with 12,000 miles)

So true. Back in ‘83 I bought a new GTV6. By far it was the worst car I ever owned, mostly due to constant electrical issues. I unloaded that car after two miserable years. It cured me of ever considering an Italian car again.

My buddy has one. He was all smiles when he took me out to lunch in it.

(Under warranty, I guess)

There's a guy here (ferraripete, I think) who's got a AR Giulia 4-cheese that loves it and hasn't had any problems (the last time I saw a post).

I've got an old work colleague that bought one of the 4-cheese models (you know, quadraformaggio, ) that really shouldn't have. I don't know if he's had any issues, and he wouldn't tell me if he had. The most powerful, performance oriented car he'd ever driven before buying it was a Honda Accord 4-cyl. The first time he put it in "race" mode and thought he'd take a hard right from a dead stop at a stop sign, he fish-tailed, and then drove it over a curb and side-swiped a tree. I think it spent 6 months at the local Ferrari dealer getting fixed and ended up costing the insurance company a fortune. And he cancelled the insurance with that company part way through the repair and went with another cheaper company.

That thing is like driving a hemorrhoid. I'm talking about how it looks. Like a ghetto child built it.

Theres not much i like driving more than my 930. I enjoy the lag, the understeer and snap oversteer, the difficulty of applying the brake without locking the fronts. Always willing to try a car.

Drove the 4-cheese. Sure is ugly but i liked the race mode. Light up tires whenever, great turn in and let me slide. Nice handling car.But overall i liked the old evo better. Thought the exhaust was obnoxious.

Glad they built it, glad i could experience it but cant imagine owning one.

I agree 101% with Jeff Higgins, don't punish yourself and truly the styling has never won me over either.

If you want a rocket that actually will actually get you home might I suggest a C63, M3 or M4

I have a very dear friends who owns one - 2018, a low mile CPO. It is a base car. It is a beautiful ride. He had the engine replaced at 25K miles. kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I agree, especially on the styling. The grill is the only appealing visual aspect (as in the image above). And, not because it’s especially appealing, but more because it’s unique. The rest of the car may as well be a Hyundai....visually. Except Hyundai’s are reliable.
