Only issue with Soldier - is Connie Nielsen doesn't get enough screen time!

The majority of Battle Los Angeles was filmed in Shreveport and Baton Rouge La. Throw up a green screen, CGI in L.A. City Hall and Staples Center and bam!, you got L.A.

Never watched it but always liked Aaron Eckhart.

You should watch it. LA has no traffic!

I really liked this movie. I started a thread about it 9 years ago!

Some old names in here that don't post any more.

Battle: Los Angeles

Wanted to like this movie more than I did, but a number of things bugged me, e.g. promotions in the Marine Corps infantry definitely come slower than in other MOSs, but an E6 after 20+ years? ... come on!

I think it's one of the recent better sci fi action flicks. My only complaint is Michelle Rodriguez.

Agree on this one. It's oddly entertaining once you suspend your reality filter. McConnaughey is actually a believable bad-ass.

Dude was too old to be dodging bullets let alone lean rank.

Also raised an eyebrow when the field guy lobbed a grenade in the two foot deep pond to finally snuff an alien and said "Frag out" and casually walked away.

I'll finish the movie tonight.

Yeah. Some really unbelievable stuff.

The part about doing exploratory surgery on one of the alien’s chest to find it’s heart was really dumb. Everybody knows a alien’s heart is in its left knee.

I couldn't get past the first 2 minutes. When a Netflix movie starts out dull, I bail on it.

I am not really an action movie fan but I thought Extraction was much better than Battle: LA.

Kinda liked Battle Los Angeles, with a few flat notes. Very distracting that it supposedly took place in my 'hood and the geographical progression was all scrambled. How hard would it have been to get that right?

Like a crummy takeoff of Independence Day.

And Independence Day wasn't all that great either. It was very formulaic.

You need Extraction. I think Mission Impossible: Fallout will please you as well. I loved the fight scene in the bathroom, and the stunts were top notch.
