Security alert?

When I came here, I got a window saying the security certificate of this site is not valid. I clicked a box to proceed, but now wonder if I should have...

Still on Win 7...planned on going to the local computer guy we use for an upgrade, but the lockdown of Oregon hit before we got there...

9/10 not an issue if you were hitting a known entities site.

Browsers these days have gotten overly aggressive on security,

I get the same crap when I access servers I own and maintain.

But then again the distinct possibility remains that the site was actually spoofed and they just saved users like me from some nasty virus code.

I think sometimes cleaning the computer w/CCleaner and trying the link again from a known good source will sometimes work.
Microsoft does not like people using Win7 anymore and they aren't making it easy for them.

Make sure you use a different password than you use on other sites.

What bugs me about it is it becomes self defeating.

When the browser is constantly barking at you all it does is train the user to ignore it.

The real issue is the Pelican forums are an open to anyone forum. Anyone at all can read through the forums and never log in. It is pointless to have a security certificate when anyone can come in and read and signing up is open to anyone.

The second you go to the parts section you will see the security certificate is valid, and your transactions are secure.
