Really cool Porsche
Wow, the first factory owned Porsche to win at 24 Hours of Le Mans. Just a class victory but it beat many cars in higher classes. Interesting video.

I saw this car a couple of years ago at the Werks Reunion on Amelia Island. Rod Emory's at the mic detailing its restoration. Musician John Oats is standing next to Emory.

^ It's really not that hard, just pull your arms out of your sleeves and cross them over your chest under your shirt.

Enjoyed that.
It appears from Wiki it beat a 1500 cc class Jowett Jupiter which won it's class as well yet only had 203 laps vs the 356 SL's 210 (1,100 cc). In the link, more cars did not finish than finished. I have not researched but suspect this is not uncommon. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1951_24_Hours_of_Le_Mans
