Cryogenmod/LineageOS

I may be more bored than anything, but I am starting to want a new phone. My Apple Xr is just a boring appliance. I feel Google is the root of all evil in the technology world, so as much as I like the Pixel hardware, I can’t jump on that ship.

Is anyone running LineageOS on their phone? Like it? Which hardware are you using? Any particular likes or dislikes? In particular, does it play well with Office365?

Any and all thoughts on this idea are appreciated.

Too bad you don't like Google. I've accepted that privacy now is just an illusion and been drinking their hardware koolaid since Galaxy Nexus. Most of my phones including Pixel 1 had Cyanogen/LineageOS at some point. I think it became too tedious lately with hardware checks on various authentication methods to dick with it. Can't speak about Office 365 but I did have issues with banking apps. Plus, as much as I liked the customisation features on CM, Google stole many the good ones I used anyway and rolled them into vanilla Android, so I haven't really missed CM with Pixels.

I guess OnePlus is a strong alternative to Pixels?

I abandoned flashing devices years ago so maybe it's gotten better but generally you just end up chasing annoying little glitches till you go back to stock.

Bricked a fair number of them as well and I am not considered a newb in any way shape or form.

YMMV
