Covid-19 What just happened, where are we now, where are we headed?
 

This Doc can be pretty outrageous and opinionated at times but I suspect he is good at what he does in the ER. Here he gives a point by point overview of the last 5 months, what worked well, what went wrong, what is working now, and how we will likely emerge from this thing. It is kinda long but maybe the most concise and rational overview to date.

Zero politics, just the facts as they happened. Worth 40 minutes I think.

Weird, he rails against dumb useless cloth masks and then says yeah, don't be a dick and use the good PPE... use a cloth mask.

If these medical people are sofa king smart why the hell do they NOT HAVE plenty supply of the good masks? I mean, the guy thinks people (non medical people) who wear N95 masks out in public are dick for using that gear ... because that gear somehow belongs to only the sofa king smrat medical people?

I am not on that fking Nextdoor app. My neighbor told me my pic is on there and there are some nasty things said about me. Someone took a pic of me walking to my car without a mask and decided to post it on there so all neighbor can see. keep in mind, I am surrendered by hipsters (no not those young punks, but older and established, way left nut jobs). I am not sure if I should defend myself or not. I think its useless given they have already made up their minds about my mask-less behavior. I walked from my house to my car. WTF?

As for your dick neighbors.... I would idle a diesel/rental diesel genset(w/enclosure open) out front from 0300-0600 everyday just to piss them off. I can't stand people that spread drama about people.

Fcuk me about the diesel. I had a 93 cummins 12 v truck that is naturally loud and very clean. One day, I started it and walked back into the house to get my phone. Some neighbor, I assume, walking the hill decided to reach in there to shut it off. On my way out, I caught them walking down the hill and yell, why did you turn off my truck? They, two youngish women, responded, "idling is bad for the environment. My kids would like to hike in the forest some day."

I come to learn that people don't do that so much in the suburbs or other states. They are normal and these are people who from from other states or...? Most I know aren't from here.

I go on that site now and then...and that is pretty accurate. The current top thread is "places/people trying to kill us" and lists businesses where people have been observed without masks (even though not required), photos of people (esp. children) caught out in the wild without one (although not required there) etc. Rant after rant about the evil people out there wanting to kill everyone by people that don't work and don't need to leave their homes.
