Did everyone get their taxes back?

Two years ago, I had to come out of pocket eight thousand dollars for taxes. So I bumped up my deductions per pay period, so I would not have to come out of pocket and would receive a small refund.

Long story short, after filing electronically two months ago, I still haven’t received my refund. Every time I check the IRS site, it says they’re being processed.

WBU?

I used free tax act online software early April and got both fed and state refunds back within a couple weeks.

I was owed a significant amount of money and couldn’t get the IRS’s attention. After a year I contacted Warren Davidson (my useless congressman), and both of my senators. Davidson and Portman were no help, but I got a call from senator Sherrod Brown saying if I’d have a check in 2 to 6 weeks. It arrived about 10 days later.

I just checked with my CPA. She filed our May 6. We had an odd year and are getting a good sized refund. She said they are behind due to recover rebate legislation and other issues. She suggested giving it a few more weeks and then she'll contact the IRS.

Hahahaha are you kidding me?

I'm due a $10k refund from 2019. They still haven't processed my return. They've sent 4 letters saying we didn't send in our W2's. We've sent them 4 times with delivery receipts and the receipts of the previous times we've sent them.

STILL NOT PROCESSED.

This year I owed them $10k. Guess who got their money first?

Our W-2's are not getting matched up to our return. We couldn't file electronically because they never sent our PIN. Covid dontcha know...

That happened to me once but it was only $2K. It took them 2 1/2 years to get me the money and I had to argue for interest payment. That's why I went electronic.

We went electronic too - except that the IRS failed to provide a PIN that year - and failed to answer phone calls - then failed to properly process FOUR copies of our returns sent over 2 years while simultaneously failing to ever acknowledge that we've sent them in with proof.

Fortunately for me, I don't have to file any more, according to the IRS minimum income requirements.

Seems so surreal after having that annual ritual in place for so long.

Good luck to all in getting your refund soon!

I hadn't even thought about it since I filed in March, but, no, I haven't gotten my refund.

My federal refund this year is $8. I'm not losing sleep over it.

Be careful what stock you (one) buy. Some of them can prevent you from e-filing. Never had to fill in a schedule K before...

We e-filed back in early May I think it was. We usually get it quickly and my state refund was in two weeks. It’s about $5k, so not chump change.

Edit: It might buy the new supercharger, I posted a thread about.
