twitter
What makes so many people think trotting their thoughts out in front of the world a reasonable thing to do?
|
ego>common sense
|
narcism, and a serious insecurity. Looking for reassurance from strangers. addicted to the likes and retweets. A basic, fundamental weakness.
|
its the fuel behind forums as well, no? in a way?
it saddens me that a lot of manufactures use social media so much. i don't get involved so i miss a lot of announcements. |
What you post can and will be used against you.
No matter how long ago it was posted or even if you thought you deleted it. |

I'm tech savvy and very "connected" (smart phone, smart watch, always online, etc...) but I am not on twitter and have no desire. I understand that twitter can/does include some good stuff, but I think it's like the internet (but probably worse) to get the good stuff, it's 1 in a million (or maybe 100 million).

Twitter counts on narcissistic people who need that validation that they are being listened to, and attention is being paid to themselves. Some sort of mental illness that creates the unrelenting craving to feel needed, and important.

I do have a Faceplant account. If someone gets political, I just quit following them. I truly have it to see how real actual friends and relatives are doing. I don't care at all about any of the political feelings. I use Facebook for laughs and keeping up with family and friends. Nothing more. |
i think my Facebook account is deleted. at least i tried.
i really dont care that much about a old high schools friends kids life that much. i got FB so i could buy a knife from a maker Aaron Gough. mission accomplished. there was group of high school people still posting up pics from our old yearbook!! wtf? i moved on. its an odd place. |
I'm so freakin' important that tweeters are for speakers :D
