are the tools high quality?
TopTul is often said to be the best low cost tools if you replace the whole shebang Hazet has some nice kits... to make a new case, poplar is soft and easy to work - just drill different sized holes for the socket, carve out some deep 'gouges' and stain it |
If you google "socket set replacement case", there are quite a few available on amazon and ebay.

Or buy some 2inch thick high density foam, use a box cutter to make shapes for each tool then fit that into another box. Nah, just buy a cheap new socket set.
|
Not really portable, but I like these things for sockets...super easy to spot the correct one.

I also think it's time for a new set. Something nice, but not overly expensive nice. And keep the old set as a spare. You never know when the 10mm is going to go into hiding at the exact moment you need it.

What are you guys doing for socket holders?
