That’s funny, I was able to find basically the same type of story on our house from the Indianapolis Star circa 1924! Glad to see you’re preserving a genuine MCM, such a rare find.

Wow - another great place. I’m no expert but I see some Frank Lloyd Wright, yes?
Prairie style?

In January 2018 we moved from this place - 2800 square feet with a kitchen I designed and was (still am) in love with.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1596665491.jpg

We moved to this shack in the country - 5 acres, 6000 square feet on three floors. Plenty of room for MrsWD's studio and land to scratch my farming itch.
The house is literally two houses in one. From the water meter and electrical meter out there are two of everything. The two story part was built in 1972, the 3 story added in 2002. I haven't been on the third floor in two months.

The kitchen sucks. It's the hallway between the old house and the new one. We replaced the electric range with a gas cooktop and put an electric oven to where the 'fridge is now. It's better, but it's still a hallway with kitchen stuff on either side.

My house in Orlando!
Lived there two years during grad school.
Shack is a dump, but it's on a lakefront acre.
Been renting it out for about 15 years now, almost paid off.

^^^I love it!

I have got to get back west.

^^^^^ Love it too. The landscaping must have taken a long time to develop, unless it was brought in already fairly grown.

Lots of really great houses posted here

Our 3bd/2ba place was built in 1942. We're only the third owners...been living here since '84.
There's a detached two-car garage/shop out back.

I really like Embraer's house. I like the modern look. Rustic farmhouse is NOT my style, but it is MrsWD's so we live in a farm house.

Embraer chose to respect the architecture inside and out which completes not compromises it -bravo.

I took a four hour journey upriver in a kayak yesterday, nice having a river in my backyard.

Our house is little more than a log sided cottage, but it suits the two of us.
