I could probably see setting the AC that high if I was someplace like Arizona or Cali where there's super low humidity. Here, no way in hell. Maybe if I was a landscaper or held one of those signs that says "slow" and "stop" when they are doing road construction or was a roofer.

Producer woken up by alpha lion. While filming a documentary on how big cats behave like little cats, a producer in Africa was woken up in the middle of the night by the alpha lion of the pride he’d been camping beside for months. The massive cat had crept into camp and licked him across the face, startling him awake.
The man shot upright, and the lion bolted into the darkness. Luckily, every second was caught on camera by the safety rigs he had set up around his camp.
Later, when asked about the experience, the producer laughed: “I guess we at least know now, big cats really are just like little cats. They wake us up at 3 a.m. too.”

Over the weekend, Julian Lennon shared an extraordinary moment on Twitter: he unexpectedly ran into his late father’s Beatles bandmate, Sir Paul McCartney, in an airport lounge.
Even more incredible—Paul was listening to a track from Julian’s new album Jude on his phone at that very moment.
The connection runs deep. In 1968, Paul wrote the Beatles classic “Hey Jude” as a message of comfort to five-year-old Julian after John Lennon left Julian’s mother, Cynthia, for Yoko Ono. The song’s original title was “Hey Jules,” but Paul changed it to “Jude” before recording.
More than five decades later, Julian honored that history by naming his album Jude—a tribute to the song, the memory, and the enduring friendship that still links him to McCartney.
Today, Paul is 80, Julian is 59, and a song born of heartbreak continues to bind them in a moment of unexpected harmony.

Carrera GT (and other) gearbox oil for a car in service.
$1200.00 USD for 20L. I am glad my 911 does not need that!

I saw Tony Callas posted that on FB the other day. Wow!

THis is pretty cool, although I wonder about the long term stability of the bottom of the cuts. Would the wood fibers in the bends at some point down the road decide they wanted to straighten causing the wood to split or crack. Or even worse, what would you have to do to keep the dust out of the splits down at the bottom!

I get an uneasy feeling looking at it like it will split more. I'm wondering if there's downward pressure on the splits if that would make it more stable.

I thought the same thing and posted about that. In the woodworking/carpentry thread, Zeke/Milt posted some suggestions and thoughts.

On further scrutiny, I think the profile that posted it on FB is purely AI generated. They have a TON of photos of furniture designs on their profile, and the profile says that they sell designs for furniture. Every design has a different background whether it's a shop or a room or whatever. There's only a single photo of each design, and while some of the photos look real, some definitely look "off" as if they are AI generated. I think this design is pretty cool, and Zeke provided some ways to make it so that it would be stable. The other thing that popped into my head is "how do you keep those crevices from filling up with dust (other than a leaf blower or compressor).
