My wife was talking to the folks at the dentist office the other day. Apparently, there are folks that are rabidly anti-mask, and when they find out that they'll HAVE to wear a mask to the dentist, they cancel their appt and some get there and give them a hard time while they are there.

We have a family place in Sweet Home. It is beyond lovely. 100 acres on the river. Wife's grandparents farmed it. Now? It exists for the sole purpose of enjoyment. Planning on going there next week.
Redneck? Oh yeah. Try the pawn shop for a good time. It is a failed mill town. Economically very much off the rails. A tragedy. Don't drive your bimmer. Might get assaulted. Love that place. It is Oregon willamette valley perfection. (And, Paul lives just down the road. Never met him. I keep looking for sweet green Bullits.) |

Indeed, there are medical reasons. People with a bad heart, others with COPD, and other issues. With a mask you rebreathe what you exhale, a diminishment of oxygen in the blood for some, making them feel like they're smothering.
I have some good friends in the area...and what the state has done to the economy there with logging bans is insane. But then, the bigger city liberal folks do want the locals dress up in their Daisy Mae & Little Abner outfits when they come to enjoy the scenery. We do try to please...despite people like Randy with their elitist attitude thinking those who live there are hicks, **** kickers, and deplorables clinging to their guns and religion.
