914 Pacer

This beauty is for sale in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Actual Pacer shown for comparison.

I don't like it.

That's not a Pacer. It is an AMX which is a close cousin of the Javelin

Well, I have seen uglier "custom" cars. Not many are uglier, but it is possible.

Someone paid a lot for that look.

That is not a Pacer, that is an AMX. Actually one of American Motors better ideas!

The rear three-quarter view looks like a kit car, but a fairly well-proportioned kit car.

That snout, however......

If you put a big wing on the back, it'd be like a 914 Superbird.

So obviously French, the Goertz thing and whatever that is in the OP are unfortunate looking. I guess if you are driving it, you don't have to look at it.

Wasn't Peter Goertz the German guy who claimed credit for styling the Datsun 240Z?

I always figured if I was rear ended in my 914 I would make a 914 "El Camino" or pickup something like this one. The good news is I was never rear ended, and now I have a real El Camino.
