Fixing crooked fenders on my car

By the old 2 x 4 method.
Can't find a good before picture but I managed to lift the left side fender by about
a couple of inchs

A good improvement, as the left side was 2 and a half inchs lower.

Don't 'fix' it too good or you'll take all the cool factor out of it.

Well, I had to fix it as I hated the "one good fender and one bent twisted and just plain
misaligned fender" The only thing on the car that bothered me. Looks much better now.

And how I wish, we (my sweety and I) could go on a nice long road trip, but the world is in such a mess right now. Might never happen again, the way things are going.

Our body shop used to do 911s with a ball bat back in the day. Took nerve to do it!

Been there done that on my old 912, Fred. '67's have wide lips inside the front fenders.
I learned to like skinny tires on it.

I was using an aluminum bat today with the 2 x 4 and a big hammer. I wasn't so much rolling these fenders, it was mostly leveraging
with the bat and the 2x4

I would expect a car that old to have flaccid fenders from time to time - from what I've heard.

A pic without the 2x4 would make it look a lot better. (hint, hint)

thatll do it. The other day we fixed my brothers camaro floor with a 4x4 and a bottle jack. somebody caved it in jacking up in the wrong place. We had to jack it back down using the garage door frame just took the t tops off. worked like a charm

Took a little mini-tour to the south side of the island

All my side of the family lives on this south side and my wife's side lives on the north side.

I kinda prefer the south side (keep that secret).

Took me a second to figure out what you did. Yep. Good idea.

Had a customer who had a Mitsubishi Diamante. He let it roll down the inclined drive and stoved the open door into the mailbox post. Did the floor jack with 2 X 4 under the door and standing/jumping on the door sill routine, prying at door jamb with a 2 X 4, shutting the door on a 2 X 6 to tweak. It was a hack job but door shut and looked acceptable. He still thinks I'm Batman.

Car looks very nice, Yellowperil.

How'd you get a sad fender? Somebody sit on it or something?
