Indy at Road America

What a show they put on at RA this weekend. Won't spoil it, but I'll just say that it's some of the best racing I've seen in awhile. Plus--there's another double header next weekend at Iowa. Should also be great.

Great show, F! pretty much sucks compared to Indy. Will Power is an ass! Good to see the young guns at the front.

I'm pretty stoked about the youngsters. The series is as strong now as I can remember.
Power is a definite head case. Roger will either rein him in or usher him out.

I watched both races , they were very competitive and exciting with lots of passing . The series is healthy with a good mix of drivers there's no doubt there is good young talent there . Personally I would like to see a few more engine manufacturer's involved .

I enjoyed race 1 because the winner is my guy, but race 2 was great no matter who you are a fan of.

Roger Penske is talking to Ferrari about being an engine supplier. How great would that be?

good races, great track. IMSA at RA in two weeks. Then off to VIR another epic track.

Thinking of a road trip to RA from AZ. 26 hours. Not too bad

I love watching the pros at RA. Although my wife keeps asking why I don't go through the kink flat out, or how come they are so much faster up the hill after 5?

Roget got P.T. to calm down and behave. If Power is smart, he'll know that Penske doesn't want that kind of reputation for his organization. I'm sure there was a rather one sided discussion today.

F1 racing hasn’t been good as of late??? With all due respect I beg to differ good sirs. Did you somehow miss the first race at the Red Bulling ring 2 weeks ago or qualifying in the rain last week? Sorry but hands down the best drivers on planet Earth putting on a heck of a show the last two weeks. Yes I too am waiting on the edge of my chair to see someone upset Hamilton or Mercedes however you have to give it to them, to stay at the top of the top level Motorsport in the world it’s dammed impressive.

The wife needs to flat out experience the kink.

I'm not sure I agree they are the best drivers. It's really impossible to compare one vs the other and make a definitive statement about which is better. Hamilton is undoubtedly brilliant. But so is Dixon. He's also a really straight up nice guy who will look you in the eye and talk to you. I've had conversations with him twice.

If you like F1, it's better for you. Indycar is better for me.

I've been racing and high perf driving for 30 years. The wife has taken exactly one lap in the car with me, a 7/10s warmup lap, then politely asked to be dropped off in the paddock.

Same here. Took GF out for parade laps at Road Atlanta. When she wasn't screaming, she was trying not to vomit. Never been back in the track car.

Sorry I missed this race. Indycar has been such a yawner for me for years, I stopped watching. Might have to rethink that now.

Yeah, you need to experience the kink first hand to understand what it takes to do it flat out. I always either feather the throttle or brush the brakes at about the 1 brake marker iirc.
