I take peoples boxes from their garbage all the time. Selling stuff online you need boxes. If its at the curb its considered abandoned property that anyone can claim. If I see something good in your trash can you can be damn sure im going to take it. And likely sell it in the box I stole from you. If its so precious to you dont throw it out

On hold with the Trash Company...

Otherwise, if it was someone just stealing your trash, as soon as you put your trash out, it's essentially like "free, take whatever you want." It's not like the feds have a law against taking garbage. |

I really don't care if someone needs a box. But the box remover did it after dark and before first light. That is weird. Again, gated community, so not a "garbage picker".
And in the process of "adjusting" my recyclables, they made my garbage men THINK the bin was full of recyclables. So they skipped it. |

Well, you didn't put it out till it was dark. How are they supposed to take it in daylight?
Sorry they miscatagorized the remains but if I needed a box to ship or move something, I'd go to someones discard pile as well. After all, the best form of recycling is reuse. Quote:

You didn't even catch the tape though.

It could be as simple as them needing a cardboard box for stuff, and yours happened to be the perfect box they needed.
"There is one on the curb" "I'll pour the rest into this bin" |

Yep. Either that or trash people :D |
I'm surprised no one has suspected the raccoons yet....

Rocky would have left a mess.

I admit it I did it.

My FIL watched over our house while we were out of town several years ago. During the week, he called concerned. "Someone broke into your house and took a dump in the toilet"
Ok- how do you know? We asked. Well- I used the bathroom on monday (toilet was clean), and when I went back to use the bathroom again on friday, there was a turd in the toilet. Police are on the lookout for a local crapper. mo- breaks into houses, takes a dump, steals nothing, and runs. My guess- the toilet handle needs to be held down all the way for a full flush. The local crapper "on the loose" makes a better story though. |
Which reminds me of a story when I was on the inside...the Porter frantically calls me over takes me into the Gents room and points into the toilette where this perfectly formed 12 inch turd is floating in the bowl...he is jibber jabbing on about me doing it...I tell him unfortunately no, you have the wrong culprit....it was a thing of beauty though. It turns out that a young inmate by the name of Bates did the deed where he said, "That he was so proud of his achievment he couldn't bear to flush it."
