Is it me or was he pushing the flywheel further in with his tool in the first video? Was that his intention to release the tension on the gib key or was it a screw up?

I have one of those for it too. The bearing behind that other sprocket is what allows the arm to pivot and it is toast and caused all of the other misalignment and hence carnage.
