Warrior Nun on Netflix.

i think it deserves it's own thread. pretty cool show.

less action than i had anticipated going in, but i bet the sequel wont disappoint considering what they did. something cool about Nuns than can kick ass.

haha.. i thought this show was written for young teens like Harry Potter, but no..the F-bombs...maybe not. love the introduction of a relatively unknown actress (to us in the USA)

i wont spoil anything, but i want to.

Episode 1 down. I'm not hooked, but I'm thoroughly curious.

I only had that for the first few seconds that the *****y nun was talking, but the rest of the time it seemed fine to me.

I'm a few episodes in; seems decent.
GF asked what it was about and told her it was about nunjas fighting demons.

I'm trying it. Having a hard time getting passed the lead character's inner voice and how immature it is.

I just watched this trailer and I'm intrigued... Kickass Kool Nuns!

It reminded me of the series Charmed (1998–2006). My daughters watched Charmed and there was no negotiation on that!

Watched Ep 2 last night. I'm assuming/hoping that the girl won't be hanging with the 4 other kids for long so we can maybe ditch the boy/girl drama and get back to the other stuff.

It was just "ok" for the first half of the season, just enough to keep me watching but not more... But it got really good towards the end... I really like the concept relealed in the last episodes re: portals, "angels", "demons", religion's interpretation thereof, the halo - interesting twists (no spoiler)
The dubbing got better too, no longer bugging me - really looking fwd to season 2. Clever rif on the concept...

We are 5 episodes in. It's pretty good. Definitely done on a budget but entertaining.

You have to hang in there through episode 3 to really figure out where the series is going to go.

I'm somewhere between 50-75% done with season one.

It has gotten better as the season has progressed.

So yet another cute 100 pound woman that can whip 6'6" 280 pound professional bodyguards. I will be glad when Hollywood get over that phase.

I just watched a series on Amazon called Absentia.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absentia_(TV_series)

She is another lady that can whip professional thugs. It is a dark series, and features a lot of people I would never want to meet.

After 3 seasons it ends at what could be a decent ending, but they may have a season 4.

The only reason that she can whip anyone is because she's got an extra boost of power, speed, etc... much like a super hero. So, sure, it stands to reason that she could whip just about anyone. Kind of like superman, but female and chosen/appointed/ordained.

Also, not all men can/do fight. I'm sure that there are diminutive men and women who are well trained that can take much larger folks. Size is not the end-all be-all.

It's a fictional show about warrior nuns, one of which that's got special powers that enable them to fight demons. You are going to need to use your imagination and suspend reality just a little bit for the show.

Demons, halos, hot-ass YOUNG nuns, glowing swords made out of sone biblical alloy, and the 100lb fighting nun is the unrealistic bone of contention!?!

I liked the show and I’m waiting patiently fir season two.

Like Black Widow in the Avengers series. She too can take on extraterrestrial bad critters and win. Even keep the Hulk at bay for a while. I get that.

Fact is, there is no 100 pound human lady on plantet earth that can take someone like The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, at 6' 5' and 260 pounds in a fair fight. The biggest punch possible from a female on a punching tester is a joke compared to the strength of a professional linebacker size man in good shape. Size does indeed matter. That is why there are weight classes in all levels of wrestling or boxing or whatever. Put the worlds best ever welter weight against the average heavy weight. It will be a short bout.

Do doubt, there are lots of ladies that could kick my ass. But I have never been a trained bodyguard and I am not quite built like a NFL linebacker.

I totally like fantasy shows and will just accept that 100 pound women on TV and movies can beat up big "goons" as realistic as bad guy henchmen can be knocked out with just one punch to the jaw, and the bad guys all train at the Star Wars Storm Trooper school of bad shooting.
