That's what I thought but the proportions seem off, a kit car maybe?

Damned if I know, but I saw one similar yesterday. I'll ask the shop it was at tomorrow.

Closer to a 275, if anything. Looks off, though, in a kit car kind of way.

Almost.
I’m 99% sure it’s a Fiberfab Caribe.

Right, looks closest to a Ferrari 275, but not exactly.

One fake vent down low on behind the front tire, then 4 short slats above it. 275 only had the 4 slats, they were longer and lower. Also the bottom of the door on the 275 was lower. The rear of the 275 was also very different from this car.

It's still pretty cool looking. It's got what, to me, are a couple of minor mis-steps, but assuming it's got something to provide enough motivation, I'd drive it.

I think we have a winner.

This is supposedly a caribe/banshee. Kind of cool that it's based on a sportscar chassis (MG, Austin Healy or Triumph) instead of a bug like so many of the kit cars that I remember seeing when I was a kid.

Yup..believe we have a positive identification. I know dad had an MGA that he was hotrodding and took the body off of according to mom. He sold the project when they found out my older sister was on her way.

It's a Caribee. I almost bought one last year, based on a Triumph chassis. They have gullwing doors...which NEVER worked properly.
