He's on the road again

The PPOT squirrel is on the move again. We hoped he would stay around until Christmas, but he's a ramblin' kind of guy. Hard to keep him in one place.

Our Christmas mascot is safely in the hands of this proud member. Delay in responding due to an out of town trip and just walking by the package since later last week thinking it was car parts. Jeez. wd finally pinged me a wake up call.

As we all know, the competition is fierce for landing the opportunity to tend to the squirrel. I'm very emotional right now that I have earned this honor.

Perhaps Vince Lombardi can say it better. I think this is what he said:

I believe in God, and I believe in human decency. But I firmly believe that any man's finest hour -- his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear -- is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted in front of the keyboard - victorious.

Pics as soon as placed on it's viewing stand. I'm somebody now!

I think possibly the full quote is:

I believe in God, and I believe in human decency, and I believe in the PPOT squirrel. But I firmly believe that any man's finest hour -- his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear -- is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted in front of the keyboard - victorious.

There may be other notable references. For one:

"Yes, Virginia, there is a Christmas squirrel."

A bit of a conundrum here. The lady in the "What cologne to use for a 60 year old man" thread gave me a frikkin' camel with real camel hair. It's awesome. It occupies the pinnacle presentation position in my humble abode. She cleans my place so she will know if the camel is reduced to second fiddle.

I have to work through this.
