my contractor buddy bought a stihl battery pole saw for work around his cabin/house and said he was completely satisfied with it after having had the stihl 2-cycle unit. plenty of power, well balanced while being handled and he likes it better than the gas unit. although he did buy an extra battery. not cause he works for long periods, he is just absent minded so the one on the charger is always better than the one he left in it 1/3 full two months previous.

I hesitate to post this.... it's like posting comparisons between a GT3 and a Mustang.... all Stihls are not created equal.
My smallest.... a tree climber, top handle professional beast... if your Stihl isn't made in Germany (most aren't), and balanced.... then you just don't know what I mean. MS 201TC (14" bar).... small, lightweight, no carb, easy starting BEAST in a small package... not cheap and worth every cent. My bigger saws are getting lazy these daze....this one makes me grin :) Same with their pole saws...as sold (even pro saws), they are meh.... put a full chisel bar/chain on one (not those damn green link safety chains)...transformed. But those two are (7-8 Benjamens) pro tools, and overkill for most.... I absolutely love them :) |
