Anyone got a new V1 (2nd gen) - improved over the old?

I remember joking with my father many moons ago when I got my first one. My license was already in tatters and he was just shaking his head and said “You got that so you could speed!” and I said “What are you talking about, pop- I slow down every time it beeps!”

I have the new one and it is much quieter. Geometric reduction in the number of false alarms.

Was your old one updated to the last update before the 2nd generation?
I had one that was great but as variable cruise control became a thing it was going off constantly. The last update before the 2nd gen knocked that down to 20% of the alerts I used to get.

Yes it had the latest update. The new version is still quieter. I have the x and K bands disabled. Seem to get more warning on known radar locations.
