Something Has Got To Go

Man I just can't afford the Mcmansion in the Burbs, the SUV and MB in the driveway, Classic Porsche in the garage, the Big Screen TV, the Cleaning Lady, the Gardner, putting the Kids through a prestige 4 year College, let alone all the little sundries like going out to eat, and belonging to the gym and country club anymore..It is just too much ever since they cut my hours and salary back...let alone face unemployment as the company I work for is on the verge of gong BK.

I just can't keep using the Credit Card to get by as it is about maxed out.. What am I gona do?

Hey I know, buy the FAANG's* on margin...that ought to make me rich!

icemann427 08-28-2020 08:17 AM

Maybe it's the SO that has to go...:D

Rikao4 08-28-2020 08:21 AM

tabby I'm disappointed..
you always shop for the best deal..

Tidybuoy 08-28-2020 08:25 AM

I can sense the sarcasm. Regardless, two books that had an effect on my life: The Millionaire Next Door, and The Credit Card Catastrophe.

The person the the original post (which I doubt is you)....well, that's how it goes! Live within your means and use credit to expand your means (not your life).

Sooner or later 08-28-2020 08:27 AM

Tabs, how did you make your money? What profession?

Bob Kontak 08-28-2020 08:30 AM

The name of the LA Chargers must be changed as it denigrates those with credit card woes.

I do think those were brand new leather soled shoes the man wore.

They were a gift. :D

not the episode with the old peddler, there was another where a man put on a pair he found and took the personality/identity of that man (gangster). It didn't end well for him either.

Eric 951 08-28-2020 09:22 AM

things have been tough on tabs since the fez and monogrammed slipper market dried up.

if monocle polish falls out of favor, he is really going to be in trouble.

Ought to be a song in here somewhere. Something about life in the fast lane?

LEAKYSEALS951 08-28-2020 11:45 AM

Well, I listened. I heeded TABS's warnings. Earlier in the year, before covid, I sold it all and bought a sailboat to see the world. You may have seen my story in USA today:

Just borrow money on the one card to pay off the other.......simple really.

asphaltgambler 08-28-2020 12:22 PM

You are screwed.

When your global meltdown comes to pass that pension will be history since they are invested in bonds and stocks. With all your "wisdom" you will be just as broke as the rest of us...

Most economists believe the United States will tip into recession by 2021, a new survey shows, despite White House insistence the economy is sound.

Nearly 3 out of 4 economists surveyed by the National Association for Business Economics expect a recession by 2021, according to poll results released Monday. The outlook reflects growing skepticism among economists and investors that the U.S. economy will be able to withstand a protracted trade war with China without serious harm amid a weakening global outlook.
