Some years ago I know for sure Snapon sold touch up paint in spray cans for their tool cabinets.

I'd bet they still do. Small can but you could paint a jack like that with three or four cans.

I have the harbor freight 3 ton version, and love it...don't really care what color it is, i'm not trying to pass me off as being rich.

BTW, SNAP-ON red spray paint would probably be about $100 a can ! |

I asked about some touch up paint for my tool box at one time, and they told me , that there have been several different shades of red over the years.

My older boxes do have more of an orange ish red than the newest ones. Which are all old now

There are places here that put paint in cans and can colour match if you bring in a sample.

			YMMV.

If you decide to go ahead make sure you use an oil based paint. (turpentine clean up)

No doubt the paint shop will try to sell you an acrylic based paint and call it enamel. (water clean up) I recently went to the paint store for some outdoor decking oil... (I use it for lots of smaller outdoor projects) They always try to sell me the water based version.

They do. Alternatively, you could get some Krylon in that shade and save some money, or buy 5 cans of Krylon and spend the same money

I bought one of the Daytona jacks recently. Didn’t know this about them, but I can say it’s a super nice jack for under $200. It’s a damn tank too. Weighs 100lbs!

My paint jobber will match any color you want in a spray can, you can even get it catalyzed if you want. Take the item with you and they will match it.

I’m confused. Is it about buying a yellow hf and painting it so people think it’s an expensive snap on jack?
