The Jags continue to suck.
|
How about Arizona knocking off Seattle ? I am no longer surprised in the ways Atlanta can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory :(

Boring game of two bottom dwelling teams until the last few minutes, then all the shat hit the fan. I was happy. The Lions coach has never won three games in a row, next week could be #3. Still need 3 more wins just to be 50/50. Atlanta Falcons, good luck guys - been there, done that. Oh and did you all see the stat on the Green Bay Packers? Last time they had 6 wins 1 loss was the 1965-1966 season (Super Bowl champs). |
^^^ I wonder....if in the whole history of the NFL, a 48 yard extra point has ever been completed?
Prater is automatic at that distance for field goals....I just wonder if the situ gave him wonder. |
Browns has one in 2015.
Before this season, extra points were 20 or so yards long. Now the ball is placed at the 15, making the kick 33 yards. Coons made the first kick, but the Browns were penalized five yards for an illegal formation. He made the second kick. But the Browns were penalized 10 yards for holding, making his third try 48 yards. https://www.espn.com/blog/cleveland-browns/post/_/id/15572/travis-coons-48-yard-extra-point-may-be-an-nfl-record-or-not |
^^^ Had not heard of that one...same situation, but the Lions backed-up 15 with just one penalty.
Prater was looking to redeem himself. He had missed an easy one earlier. There was a flag thrown on the completed kick. I almost hoped it was against the Lions to see if he could make a 53 or 63 yd PAT! Luckily, the flag was against the Falcons. |
^^^^ Carolina had a chance to tie with a FG.... then a bonehead sack made it a 65 yard attempt.... it would have set the record.... but alas... 1 yd short :(.
I'm used to it :) |
^^^ But this was an extra point attempt...after TD

Yesterday, the 49ers lost Kittle for the season, and maybe Garoppolo. They already lost Nick Bosa, Dee Ford, Richard Sherman, Raheem Mostert, Solomon Thomas, Jeff Wilson, and Jalen Hurd, all key players. Deebo Samuel is out for a while; the list goes on. No Super Bowl this year.:(

It's too bad.
I'll focus on the Seahawks & Saints. also Justin Herbert can run up a double digit lead as a rookie but that isn't enuff to keep the Chargers D from losing the game anyway... |
Dare I say.... Seven and oooooooooooooooooooh! Here we go Steelers Here We Go!!!
Is that Renegade I hear playing in the background? Cincy beat the Titans? Wow! That crushing defeat at the hands of the Steelers must have really been demoralizing. |
I have a stupid zoom meeting tonight so I'll miss the 49er game. But that's OK, most of the 49ers will miss it, too.
|
Brady is a good QB, but he's no Drew Brees
|
Steelers... 8 and ooooooooooooooooooh! But two weeks straight they've played pretty poor ball in the first half. Luckily the D is opportunistic and seems to have a way of coming up with plays at the right time. Steelers barely beat Dallas in Dallas. My Christmas wish list once again includes a shutdown corner for the Steelers.
