What I Want Is Money

WHAT I WANT IS MONEY

Money in of itself is an abstraction of a unit of value. The only thing that humans decided long ago to consider as having a real value was Gold and Silver. Primarily because it is a relatively rare commodity that is immutable over time. Paper or its digital counterpart is a further abstraction, that at first was tied to a unit of Gold or Silver. Then politically the decision was made to detach the physical unit of Gold or Silver from the paper currency. The political decision is based upon the mindset of the people/society of the time. The institution in of itself is neither good nor bad it is how it is run by the people/society and people at the helm of the institution. The FED and other central banks role is to insure that the modern economic system remains in equilibrium and is thus remains operational. Everybody at this point in time at some level understands that, what the central banks and even political systems are doing to keep the economic system operational is not sustainable for any great length of time. The construct of the Global Economy of Scale in of itself was flawed and is now not operational and is only kept from collapsing by using the artificial construct of using the abstraction of money.
Ultimately there is going to be a reversion to the mean of human history. This modern construct of society with all of its scientific and technological amenities is headed for the ashcan of history.

Just in case Tabby hasn't heard...

Tabs has been calling for nuclear war since the Regan era.
He has buried a school bus in his backyard as his bunker.
He is mentally ill

However he is a market expert and has correctly predicted the last 16 out of 5 market crashes.

Tabs went broke long ago. Notice how he does not disclose his positions. He is a broken clock who is not even right twice a day. He has serious mental health issues, and probably has ruined the lives of his ex-wife and ex-children by using all the family assets to build a fallout shelter out of school buses, still waiting for nuclear war after watching "The Day After" in 1983. He is a fool and does not realize what a clown he looks like. But, saying this only fuels his "chicken little told ya so" stance. The world economy will implode, and we will all be fighting over rocks, probably the day after Tabs dies broke and alone. LOL

From group promises, to trading food work sex weapons materials, to shiny sea shells as a centralized standard, to pieces of shiny metal, to small pieces of paper, to small rectangular plastic card group promises, to signing your name and future away to the devil.

Money is not 'real' when it can be destroyed or created with a snap of the fingers.

It is only a relative symbol of consensual trade which a society has agreed upon, more or less by default, and under threat of punishment.

Just in case Tabby hasn't heard...

I have written about the manipulation recently ...There are more Gold contracts than exists in the vaults..so they continually get rolled over with few actually taking possession.

Chase just got tagged for 920M fine for metals manipulation.

If people start taking possession then there will be a scramble to get the actual stuff. And heavy DEMAND will do what to prices.....

So, buy the solid gold toilet now, and sit on your investment while it grows and grows.
And you can use worthless $100 bills to wipe yourself.

Problem solved

TABS
You read TABS to find the truth of the matter and not this ersatz "truth" that is being splayed all over the Tube.

Multinational Corporations have NO LOYALTY to any nation nor nations peoples. They exist for only one purpose and that is to make a profit for their shareholders. To remain competitive in a burgeoning Global Economy Corporations have to be cost effective in the manufacturing their product to meet market price point. The thinking is if we do not watch our costs somebody else will be eating our lunch and we will be out of business. To remain competitive in a NOW Global economy American corporations were forced to move production facilities overseas. They did this for 3 primary reasons, higher Taxes, HIGHER WAGES and more regulations than in developing nations. The American worker's wage structure priced themselves out of jobs. It didn't take any genius to see that the American standard of living was going to decline. Yet Americans have lived in denial of Global economic reality for 40 years. Instead they have borrowed money from the world to continue the charade of being a "RICH NATION" as Barrack was want to say. It has taken 40 some odd years to go broke.

The Elite Wizards who have been in charge, in their genius failed to see or contemplate what would happen when the fatted calf American consumer who is and was supporting this whole Global Economic show lost his good paying Middle Class job, ran out of cash and maxed out his credit. The answer is that with no where with all to consume, BUY...Global Demand falls which causes the Global Economy of Scale to DEFLATE. The Keynesian Conventional Wisdom in vogue by the Elite Wizards since the 1930's said stimulate through printing and borrowing against the future and all will be swell again. This remedy failed to take into account that the great wealth that the US had accrued from WW2 and the aftermath was dissipated and that the dynamic had changed because the consumer had lost his means of consumption in a to remain competitive move of production to a foreign land by the corporate employers. In other words the GREAT AMERICAN POST WW2 PROSPERITY BUBBLE had gone bust.

In the end that Great American Post WW2 Prosperity Bubble was an aberration of history. For never before had so many lived so well. Now it is a reversion to the mean of human history. You might say the American people believed that they were invincible and could do anything with out consequences. There is one word for that HUBRIS...

i'm not entirely clear on how physical gold is to be converted into food, medical care and shelter if the US devolves into a third world economy. it seems gold is a good investment when the specter of economic collapse is looming but does it really hold value if the collapse comes to pass? or do we blow right past gold=food and find ourselves in guns=food.

Gold is good in Barter Town. Let see now I will give you the wife for 6 boxes of shells 3 loaves of bread and 1 pound of sugar. But I don't want the wife...so come back with some Gold. So you trade the wife for some Gold.. which gets you your stuff.

Also Gold is easier to move around than some ornery ole wife...just put it in your pocket and go..

How many years until the turtle evolved a long enough neck to reach around and grab the pancake? Who would be willing to place the pancakes there for the next several hundred generations of turtles? Could a youtuber make a living filming such shenanigans? Would they have to resort to adding extra flapjacks, syrup, butter, whipped cream, and strawberries to retain viewer interest over said millennia?

Many questions indeed.

Google searches conclude:

Turtles smell well, both on land and under the water. They don't have nostrils, they have bumps under their chins. These bumps, called barbels, have nerves that allow them to pick up scents. In a land turtle, this well-developed sense helps avoid predators

Buttermilk Pancakes scent is a fragrance that it completely true to its name, it is the aroma of a delicious stack of freshly made pancakes. ... Your taste buds will be screaming for a taste of these yummy breakfast favorites when this aroma hits your nose

I'm also assuming, that if one turtle had a pancake on his back, a turtle buddy would probably come and snatch it off his back, perhaps causing a slow motion battle of sorts.
