2020 Payrolls

Rank
2 Los Angeles Dodgers $105,747,176
27 Tampa Bay Rays $28,735,222

Who says you can't buy happiness?

Also, I hope that was a joke about this Dodger team being "one of all time best"...they played less than 1/3 of a full season and were on the brink of elimination before the World Series.

baseball vs football.

quite logical.

Baseball to me is as exciting as watching paint dry...........snore.

The Rays' Blake Snell was pitching brilliantly, and was visibly upset when he was pulled in the 6th inning after 73 pitches.

The game has certainly changed. In the '75 World Series, the Red Sox's Luis Tiant won game 4, throwing 173 pitches in 9 innings to do so.
In 1963, the Giants' Juan Marichal threw 227 pitches to defeat the Braves' Warren Spahn in a 16 inning game. The 42 year old Spahn threw 201 pitches, as both men pitched all 16 innings.

The same pitcher gave up the same pitch for the same homerun in 2017 and 2020...

While I agree they havent had great success recently (even though 11 years isnt long at all for some teams) considering the Yankee's have basically won 25% of all World Series ever, I wouldn't say they are unhappy.

You’re a Californian who appears to not know a lot of Yankees fans! :D
