how about pouring out a nice layer of wing walker compound?

We remodeled a pair of bathrooms a couple years ago and used ceramic tile. No slipping issues.

MrsWD is dead set on ceramic tile and was not happy that I was even looking at alternatives. She found some that are pretty well textured, plus if I find it too slippery there is an acid treatment you can do that slightly etches the surface that is supposed to work well.

Try a textured porcelain tile. It much better then ceramic imo.

That's what I'm putting in my front bath and kitchen/dining room.
Should be done in a couple weeks.

Ha ha, the luxury of no floor prep I guess.
It is good looking stuff these days and lasts forever (guaranteed to). I installed some beautiful distressed barn wood LVT in a fancy lawyer building's foyer and when I was done one of the suits walks in and says what gorgeous hardwood! I said thanks but it's plastic. No way he says, setting his briefcase down and getting on his knees in his 3 piece suit, "this is real wood!" I said you win.
I installed it in several wineries one of which did tastings in the production area. They said they wished there was something they could cover the floor with in there. I talked them into running the vinyl plank out there. It gets hosed out every night and has fork lifts loaded with pallets of wine turning those non pneumatic tires on it. Still looks perfect.

Last time I redid a bathroom , I used 12" square tie w/ electric heat under it, makes for a really nice feel in the colder months

Grip tape on the whole floor! That would solve the slippery floor issue!

You laugh, I thought about it in some industrial looking places as finish flooring. Maybe on my next flip? That's aint happenning for a long time as I am sitting tight and watching.

Epoxy with a full flake! That'll keep ya from slippin!

I didn't seriously consider it for his master bathroom, but I did think that under certain circumstances, it or something like it could work.

I couldn't remember the name "rhino-liner" and went to look for it. It looks like a new product is coming out called rhino-shield which is for floors, roofs, etc....

We have done some funky and fun stuff with these nutty designers over the years. They make it work most times, it actually looks good. Ardex, a product that is for self-leveling. Mix with water and pour. A job I did long ago was spec'd with this covering the entire floor through out the house. It looked great. Towel on 1/2" thick of this stuff, no seams through out house. It feels like concrete, matte color and seal with a top coat. Oh, none slippery too.
