In most states, a motorized, two-wheeled vehicle with an engine displacement of no more than 50cc does not require special licensing or insurance to operate on public roads, excluding limited-access highways, such as freeways.

With a strong tailwind and down hill, one could possibly attain the euphoria-inducing ground speed of a whopping 40 mph on premium gas. The after-market is enormous and there are plenty of souped-up Ruckuses with engine transplants up to 150cc for sale by young men who have recently discovered girls.

So Mrs Gambler really likes the vintage / retro look - of course then limits the choices considerably.

Honda has several versions of that and it’s not just in 2021. Expensive, for what you get, but better than a scooter. And infinitely better than any of the pieces of **** made in China.

Crowbob 10-30-2020 08:15 AM

...and it is not a scooter.

I really like the Honda Groms....but for $3.2K, there are some other good alternatives.
Honda has a goldmine in the Grom.

Yeah, go out ahead and get run over on one of those pieces of ****.

And, when it quits, enjoy getting it fixed.

the Italian choice - looks pretty good if scooters are on the shopping list.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...

No, you just make bad choices in motorcycle purchases. My humble opinion as a rider for 45 years.
