We had one of our older (but expensive to replace) tractors stolen off a job site a couple of years ago. It was the newest tractor we had that did not have LoJack (each of them purchased subsequently do have trackers).

Anyways, the police did a good job of looking for it, and the sheriffs even had a helo up trying to locate it and texting me pics of whatever they came across - all to no avail.

Fast forward six months and the sheriff called to say they had found it. Turned out the bad guys upped their game and stole a fairly new, half-million-dollar piece of equipment from a highway crew, and it did have a tracker. When they found that big boy they also found our skip loader!

It was a nice ending...
