Bought Dad's old work truck '89 c/k2500...absolutely loved and miss this truck.
It was my first vehicle and "project". Installed an Edelbrock intake manifold, headers, flowmasters, cranked up the front T-Bars, and did rust repair on the cab corners and rear fender arches.

Ha! Me too. I rode my dad's old Honda "Super Cub". I still have it. Red with originally a tan seat. Now black.

First car was a t-5 Cabriolet 356B. It had holes everywhere. I could see the road underneath me. But I drove that thing everywhere. Man, what adventures oh man.

‘58 VW with no motor for $75 when I was 17. Got a non running motor from someone else for $25, a book for $7.95 and overhauled the motor next to the back porch at my parents house. Wa-la, I’m riding!

1965 Mustang Convertible.
Had so many rust holes in the floor, when it rained my pants would get wet from the water splashing up on me!!
Everytime I made a left hand turn my right door would swing open!! The body had serious sag (from all the rust) not allowing the doors to close all the way. Needless to say we all wore our seatbelts.
Good times!

I put front disc brakes, progressive springs and shocks on that bug, handling was incredible on that car.

Found a pic of my first 'vehicle'.
1958 Jeep CJ-5.

I've never owned another car that caused me so much 'pain' as this one.

Here it is sitting in front of our house in Santa Monica, obviously after a full rebuild of the engine and with the new top I put on it. I say obviously because I think I only drove it around the block once I got home from work. My Dad paid the guy for it for me since I was working that Saturday at the gas station. I wish now I had listened to him when he advised me not to buy it. He'd called me at work from the bank saying it smoked like a destroyer laying down a smoke screen. Shoulda listened....but I wanted a Jeep.

The pistons literally fell out of the block when my brother and I got the engine on a stand and took it apart. First time that had ever happened to either of us while working on an engine. We couldn't believe it had even run after that happened.

1968 Pontiac Catalina station wagon, small block 400, power everything, AC.
Seated 8 with rear facing rearmost seat

Dad flew home from a year of working at the Boeing factory in Everett to Witchita Kansas.
He went down to the local dealer and bought it at a price break since it had hail damage on the hood and top.
Great fun in snow with positraction

My neighbor has a 4dr version of that car. It's immaculate.

My first was a '67 AMC Ambassador. NY salt turned it into rusty junk. First runner was a '77 LTD II. Motor was toast, so we put a junk yard 302 in it. Electrical issues with that one, but it was a comfortable couch with wheels.
