Motorcycle Transport AR to GA

Just bought a bike long distance from a small dealership near Little Rock. It’s a 2019 BMW RnineT. Haulbikes estimates delivery Dec 4!

If I had the time, I’d drive the 10 hours each way and pick it up myself but, not to be. Hoping perhaps someone knows someone reliable or experience with a preferred shipper that won’t haul it all over the country on its way here.

Creative ideas welcomed.

Creative ideas, huh? Maybe pay some kid at the dealership to ride it over and then pay to fly him home?

Thought about that. What could possibly go wrong? Ha!

As I think about it, it’s probably worth having a licensed, bonded transporter bring it rather than risk the liability that would come with having a shop kid ride it for me. Just not crazy about the 30 days estimated from pickup to delivery. Not very creative I suppose.

Yeah, 30 days is nuts. The only time I ever shipped a vehicle was from the Seattle area to Eau Claire, WI when I shipped a '71 Super Beetle so my son would have it at school. It was less than two weeks from pickup to delivery. Maybe there are more car transporters plying the land than anything that carries bikes.

I have to ask - are you up against "winter" weather, even down there? If it were up here, another 30 days may as well be another four or five months... Our "riding weather", such as it is, is rapidly disappearing.

do you have any friends who you could bribe to go get it with a truck, preferably renting a uhaul trailer one way to tow it

there are lots a videos of guys failing to ride a bike into the back of a pickup

Last year I loaded my Kawasaki Concourse 14 (800 lbs) into a Uhaul trailer by myself by just pushing it.

Hey Mike, try this guy: Tim @ Motoshippers (505) 917-3349. I haven’t used him but he is Richard’s (motion) guy. Suppose to be fantastic.

I second this, Tim ships our bikes all over the country for MotoAmerica events.
