The good old Commonwealth of Pa. Beer distributors, and State stores., Its only been a few years, since we have been able to purchase beer and wine in grocery stores,

Oklahoma finally modernized our liquor laws too. I can buy any type of beer in a grocery store or gas station and it can be cold! Until not long ago any beer sold cold had to be 3.2% or less alcohol. Wine is also available in the same stores.

Liquor stores are the only source for the hard stuff.

Straub is a good PA beer. Rolling Rock was too prior to being purchased by one of the big dogs. My buddy worked at the brewery--since he was an employee every month he received (2) cases of regular 12 oz. or (1) case of 22 OZ "mortar shell" bottles free of charge.

I did not know the state tree was the Hemlock even though I lived there for five years so I missed that.

That was the best beer, when you got tired of getting sick from the Boones Farm Apple Wine

We had guys that drove from the East Coast to Colorado, to bring back Coors, with a pop top
It was not pasteurized and never shipped out of state.

I said guys.l.I wouldn’t drive 4 days for Sharon Stone, let alone beer.
We had basic transportation, if that.

Yep. Neighbor's Mom worked for an airline. He could fly for free. Cleveland to Denver and return same day for supplying a Coors party.

As a 20 year old still discovering the world, that was simply amazing.

My shop light....

That is funny about the Coors, my dad worked in Texas, but we lived here in Pa. He would fly home every weekend, and every time , he would bring home 2 cases of Coors.

GH85Carrera 11-07-2020 07:10 PM

When I still lived in Alabama and would come to OKC to visit grandparents I always loaded up the car with Coors. I could almost pay for my trip by selling the Coors. It was only popular because it was bootleg beer.
