Sorry, but it's a Targa, and it's got a big #50 decal on each side, and decals on top of the front fenders, in case you didn't notice.
Otherwise, the color is fine, for a red.

You know, I was never a huge targa fan in the past. But then, a targa kind of fell into my lap at the beginning of this year. And having driven it for a couple thousand miles now, it has really grown on me. It's a fantastic street car, because it's a 911. Regardless of bodystyle.

I can hear the chassis flexing and squeaking around on me. OK, that annoys me a little bit. And at highway speeds, the wind noise is somewhat intrusive. I wouldn't want to take it on long highway trips, at least not until I adjust the window gaps to fit the targa top better. But even when driven in proper sporting fashion in the canyons, I can't discern any significant detriment in driving fun because of the targa bodystyle. It might be slightly less fun than my 930 coupe, but that's because of the difference between 930 vs non-turbo 911--not because of coupe vs targa. And living in SoCal, an open top car is actually practical.

One of the guys in our region had a Targa and he told me to never let his wife ride in my coupe. He said he did not want her to know a car can be that quiet, and have good AC.

That does look like a nice car, but it must be a 20 footer. Crop that image some to eliminate all the unnecessary foreground and background. It is a big studio, but a small car.

I am not a fan of the classic targa roofline. Sorry. It is a me problem.

But, the 996 targa??? Damn. I think those are gorgeous. I read about something like 300# extra on the roof which sounds a little less than desirable. And, the roof mechanism is expensive as heck to fix.

But sexy.

Sorry, but when I read the thread title I expected to find a better looking car.

Old school here. Don't like the white on the fender. Wheels too large.

Yep. Several forums. One post wonder.

What does getting web crawlers excited do?

What is a 996 targa? I'm not familiar.

With no link, what’s he trying to do?

Is there something in the picture doing something nefarious?

Agree. The 996/997 Targa is the best looking one to me...mostly because it is the only one without the silver roof hoop. Never have been a fan of that aspect of Targas visually.
