Non-Palooza Palooza
Anybody here heading to Eureka Springs for the non-Palooza Palooza this weekend that was cancelled by the flu? We’re heading in from KC this afternoon. I’m betting (hoping) they’ll be a lot of other “non” participants. Hope to see some of the brethren there. Safe travels to all who are heading up/down or sideways.

We thought about it. In the past Eureka Springs rolls up the sidewalks and locked the doors and shut down for winter. We were there once maybe 20 years ago and the place where we at breakfast was out of eggs. They were closing that evening for the winter.
Eureka Springs loved the Palooza for bringing so many people to the city, and keeping them busy for one more week. I assume you have motel rooms booked already. Maybe the city extends the season now. They do have the best roads in the country. Curvy and heck, SMOOTH paved roads and wonderful views. One fantastic road we drove for over an hour and did not see one other car except the people in out tour. It was like a one hour long drive of tail of the dragon, only better. Have fun.

Glen, I can tell you from experience that Eureka Springs stays open all year long. It’s just about as crowded over Thanksgiving as it is in the middle of summer!

OK, good for them. I guess they realized they were missing the business. One of my wife's friends owned a bed and breakfast 15+ years ago and she said the merchants all pretty much shut down in the winter. It was the time they could go on vacation.

Was planning on going this year. It's beautiful up there and I agree with GH85Carrera that the roads are great. Maybe next year.

Had a great drive with 17 cars from a 71 911T to a GT3 Touring and everything in between.

Palooza is such a fun event. Where else can mere mortals see a 918 actually driven on the raods and getting dirty. One year there were 2 Carrera Gts and always GT2 and GT3. The Air Cooled G bodies and earlier were well represented. 914 and 356 are pretty scarce.
