help me with 993 brake light socket
Been on the computer for about 2 hours searching for this Hella Brake bulb socket for my 993 TT. Not sure if it makes any difference being on the right hand side? Nothing. Yep, Pelican is the first I checked. Well, I am pretty dumb when it comes to searching things on the net
![]() Somehow water got inside and corroded the contact points. I tried cleaning it but its very difficult to get to and they look pretty bad. I can't seem to find them at the Hella site neither. |

Yes, that looks like it. Its the one for the dual filament or brake light. Not sure if it makes a difference on left or right side?

![]() Got it. The 3pin. Stop/blink. I see that you PM’d me. It’s funny, I think you and a couple other Pelicans came and helped me with an engine drop on my 911SC around 2003ish. My Dads garage in Orange? |

I might have stopped by, pretended to offer help but found my way to the free beer instead. My mechanical skill sucks btw.

I think it was you and Rusnak plus anther Pelican from Irvine who really knew what to do. LOL.
I should dig for some pics of who was there... pretty smooth drop overall. Having a lift makes it easier. Thanks Dad 😄 I’ll check your PM and get it mailed either tomorrow or Tuesday. |

Take your time. I'm in no hurry for it. Thanks a bunch.
I don't think that was me that helped. If I did, with my low skill, you car wouldn't run. |

I have been astounded at how many super old arcane parts I've been able to find recently. All you need is the part number and manufacturer. I just rebuilt an Allmand light tower and was able to find the sockets, engine parts, ballast, voltage regulator, and capacitors. The interwebz has become super great for finding virtually anything.

i keyed in the part number stamped on the Hella holder and got nothing but a computer company. Nothing remotely close lighting sockets with those numbers.
