Final score.....
UCLA: 88 Bama: 78 Bama in the Sweet Sixteen in Coach Oats' 2nd season ain't too bad! They sucked at free throws tonight and that was the difference, basically....

UM misses their last eight shots of the game...losing to UCLA 51-49
I wonder if the NCAA sent them home right after the game as they did to Oregon. Not allowing them to spend the remainder of the night at their hotel.

Michigan made a mistake by going for a three point shot when they only needed two to tie it up and go into OT. They should have driven to the basket and tried to draw a foul even. The Bruins were getting called for fouls at about a 2:1 ratio anyway so that would have been my strategy.
Even their last chance shot with half a second left they (again) went for a 3. Perplexing - but that's why I'm not paid the big bucks, I guess.......

My brother’s family is in a conundrum. He and one of his sons graduated from U of H while his wife and another son are Baylor graduates.

Gonzaga's average victory margin in this tournament has been 24 points. Halftime now against UCLA and the lead is one point. Ten lead changes in the game so far. Both teams are playing GREAT.

That's BS. Weird that Gonzaga had the most players in foul trouble while UCLA played the most physical game. If there was an officiating imbalance, it was Gonzaga playing into the wind. But I think the game was dominated by the play of the teams. UCLA did a GREAT job. By far the most fun game of Gonzaga's (undefeated) season. Arguably the best college basketball game of all time.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the final shot. One of the better games I have seen.
You gotta like college basketball- I enjoy March madness.

Okay, I'll allow for the possibility that my characterizations are hyperbole, but it is hard for me to imagine a more exciting game. 19 lead changes and 13 (edit) ties in regulation. Both teams played their asses off. Winning shot from nearly half court with the ball barely in the air at the buzzer. Um....how does a basketball game get better than that?
