I saw that about the name being mirrored on the starboard(?) side.

I bet the painter was told this is how we want it painted on the side, as shown in the second pic.
So, that's what he did.

So this is the picture I started with and I knew that didn't look quite right, so I tried to make it horizontal but it turned out backwards, so "it is what it is".
