Need USB-C Hub With Just USB-C Ports

I can’t believe I can’t find this product. I didn’t think my Google-Fu is so weak.

I want a hub that I can plug into one USB-C port of the laptop and get 4 or 8 or more USB-C ports hub-side.

The idea is, of course, that after you’ve fully embraced this One Port To Rule Them All thing and standardized on USB-C for *everything* - multiple monitors, printers, scanner, keyboard, mouse, Wacom tablet - everything is native USB-C or has gotten an adapter from DisplayPort, HDMI, USB-A, SDL, PS2, etc to USB-C - then you need a way to plug a single USB-C cable into the laptop to connect to all those USB-C devices. ‘Cuz your laptop has at most 2 USB-C ports.

Every USB-C “hub” or “docking station” I can find is USB-C to *other* port types - HDMI, USB-A, Ethernet, etc. I don’t need those other ports, I need a butt-load of USB-C ports.

Anyone know of such a product?

This is weird. There have long been USB-A hubs, surface or rack mount, to get 8 or 12 or more USB-A ports from one USB-A upstream port. But this type of product doesn’t seem to exist for USB-C. Do they think daisy-chaining replaces hubs?

I know of many great usb-c hubs available. But they likely don't have usb-c hubs to multiple usb-c inputs because the final input to your computer would get overwhelmed.
Your computer couldn't manage a monitor, printer, power, other devices multiple times over through the single usb-c port.

This is the best I can find. https://www.usbgear.com/CG-7P4C3A.html

Only 4 downstream USB-C ports (and 3 USB-A) and $130 too.

Here are the specs for my 2015 Macbook Pto, which runs gret:

I am unsure what a USB 3 Port is in comparison to USB-A, USB-B, etc.

Will the device tubwreck linked work for me?

This type of device is exactly what I need.

I think I found the answer, or at least a way forward.

Sorry to bog down your thread, jyl!

Seahawk, I think you’d want to connect to the dock with one of the Thunderbolt 2 ports, using a cable (a male USB-C to male mini DisplayPort). Because the TB2 port is 20 Gb/s vs the USB A/3 port is only 5 Gb/s. Not that I’ve tried myself but just seems to make sense.

I have the same MBP 2015, great computer. Unfortunately I ordered it with only 8 GB RAM, which was very stupid. Still, it works for any personal usage I have. (My work machines are PCs.)
