Rock apes of Vietnam.

I know some here spent some time in the jungle back in the late 60s. Have you guys encounter or heard from others about this?

I have read a few things about the rock apes from various solders from the war. Interesting. I am thinking its just a large monkey throwing rocks at solders

Never heard of them. I just can't imagine with every soldier armed with a rifle no one shot and killed one and did not bring back any trophies or entire bodies or one single nice sharp clear photo of the body.

I think they called them "little foot" and there is a reality show in Pleiku looking for them.

Near the end of the video he mentions Homo floresiensis as being alive a little as 12,000 years ago.

I'm not sure where he retrieved that number from.

Remains of one of the most recently discovered early human species, Homo floresiensis (nicknamed ‘Hobbit’), have so far only been found on the Island of Flores, Indonesia. The fossils of H. floresiensis date to between about 100,000 and 60,000 years ago, and stone tools made by this species date to between about 190,000 and 50,000 years old.

From what's been said, the Rock Apes are different from the Great Apes (and Big Foot) in that they are alleged to have tails.
