Should I continue to miss Honeysuckle Rose?
Never saw that movie. I do like Willie enough to rent it now, and it showcases a lot of his songs. Slim Pickens is in it, Dyan Cannon, and Amy Irving, too. Most of you don't know this, but in 1980 somebody rearranged the letters on the ground level marquee in Concord, CA to read honey suck me raw. I still remember that.

It was fun to watch Willie play, Slim was okay, the women were beautiful. There was a slice of country life that was very warm and genuine. The plot was weak, but the movie was very enjoyable.

In the movie it was on their mailbox, not their bus. Hoyt’s bus is better, too.

Just south of SF, there's a city named, appropriately enough, South San Francisco. It bills itself as "The Industrial City" and has this slogan displayed on a hillside above town in gigantic letters which are clearly visible from the 101 freeway. Some clever folks once changed the sign to read "The Industrial Tity". Wish I'd taken a photo of it...Although quite dated now, the movie's not too bad...especially if you're a Willie fan. Certainly worth a rental fee.
