Car shipping?

Hello,
I may have a new ride. Vehicle is in Redding. I am in a suburb of Portland.

Wife thinks flying is risky. Maybe so...

Who does PPOT like for this?

Thanks!

If you can wait a week or two, I might be able to haul it up there for you on my trailer.

Portland to Redding isn't that bad/far of a drive. Maybe do a one-way rental car down, and drive the new ride back up. I've done that a couple times in the past with no issues. YMMV.

Speeder. That is about perfect timing. I am calling for a PPI tomorrow.

Eric, call me stupid. I didn't think about one way rental.

Two great options.

Thanks!

One way rentals can be very expensive, in my experience. If I'm wrong, that could be a great option if you have the time.

Probably under $100 if you shop around and/or have a biz account/Costco membership/AARP/etc.

But yeah, I'd certainly take you up on your (generous) offer, should the timing work out.

I know it's an old thread, but thanks so much for the options you've mentioned! I was browsing car forums to find the best solution and have never thought about one-way rentals. I mean I always wanted to buy a classic car and I know it's way out of my budget and maybe I just have a middle-life crisis, but I can't help searching for Mustang 1967. I found a few used cars that are affordable but I'm worried about transportation and scratches. Some of the companies provide insurance, but it's an extra expense, so that's a dilemma. I also checked the website https://shipnts.com/blog/10-best-classic-car-dealerships-in-the-u-s/ to find out more about official car dealers and of course, they are more trustworthy, but I'm not sure if I should go for it.

Enterprise has great rates for one-way rentals.

And...they will pick you up!

Yes thank you for the excellent input.

Things went down super quick so I needed to act fast. It is a lovely boxster. My favorite color. I paid my son a couple hundo to drive down with me and pick it up. Tucked away nicely in my garage as I type.

Right on! But didn't happen without a pic or two
