railway engineering, interesting

Searching for trains I have ridden on over the years in different countries, I came across this from Utube.

Since I know nothing about rail engineering, this is pretty interesting. The bulk of it really starts in about 4-5 min.

Amazing! Great video.
Sand fences instead of snow fences!
The sectional rail layer is something I never heard of.
If you wanted it embeded.....

When I was a computer tech I did my training with the railways.

I was lucky to get a tech support in the engineering department. I loved that place. Plus it was easy to get to work as all the buses and, well, trains went there. Great food in the lunch room and a load of laughs being the early 80's

building that dang thing over the tundra with such heavy load going over it is amazing. So far its stable, one can only assume. I use to want to take that rain that goes from St Petersburg to Beijing because I want to see the all the "stans" in that part of Asia. Those people intrigue me. Now I know about this one, it be cool train ride on the top of the world.
