One of hardest things Ive had to do as a Husband and Father was making the decision to put our dog down. She didnt want to leave her pack. But she was suffering greatly and the time had come. Still brings tears to my eyes typing this and it was three years ago now. Love the darn mutt to death. She was the best. It took my wife a full two years before she had the courage to get another dog.
All of us understand as many of us have gone through it. I try so hard to think of the good times we had with our mutt. A pound rescue that sat in a cage for nearly 12 months before we adopted her. It was a no kill shelter. She was not happy in the cage and she let all that came by know it. But we took a chance. She knew we rescue her and was the best darn dog you could ask for. We understand your loss. |
Sorry for your loss. It is always tough to say goodbye.
With the number of canines and felines who have passed through our lives we have become very well acquainted with our vets. Susan we have known for more than 30 years. She has always been compassionate and caring with our furry family members. I hope someone will show me the same consideration when it is my time to go. All the best in the New Year. Les |
Fellow Heeler lover here. I totally understand. Especially hard at holiday time.
