I don't know why but I think Levar Burton would be an excellent choice.

It seems there is a lot of dead air before and after the answers are read. Not real "tight" with the dialog. I thought they would edit dead air out. Never really noticed this with the other guest hosts. Seems odd.

Well, last night he did say an answer was wrong when it was not wrong. Then he lost confidence and slowed down to prevent another error, I think...

He yells a bit too much, it sounds like fake excitement to me.

On the player side, this guy is turning into James....

The score last night going into final J was (IIRC) $44,000, .....$4,400, ......negative $$$.:eek:

They couldn't buzz in. He's fast and smart. Buzzes in knowing he can probably recall the answer in time. And he hunts for the DD, keeping the other players off balance.

He also goes right across the bottom getting the high dollar clues first.

He's quick, smart and has a strategy. That's pretty hard to beat.

Makes it fun to watch. Maybe a bit early but a GOAT tournament with him, James H. and Jennings could be good.

Almost every one of his wagers has been the max also.
The money piles up fast for him.
