I remember an interview of a go go dancer that said when the Doors song The End came on, they just got off the stage and went on break. She said it is a song impossible to dance to. I think she was right.

Woman in my office claims she danced in a cage back in the 1980s.

She looks like an overstuffed sausage today.

Was her cage part of a circus?

On youtube a lot these days...has danced in many movies, from the early 60's and stlll
moves pretty damned well today..in her 70's. Tarantino used her as choreographer in the "one day in holywood" movie..

I miss go go dancers too. When a guy I was in basic with and I were traveling to Ft. Lewis, after basic, we stopped in S.F. over night and went for a tour of the bars. Several bars had nice go go dancers, and we were looking for more. Went into a bar (Condar ?) with a live band & ordered a drink at a table. Nothing was happening & we were considering going. All of a sudden the band revved up. We were looking around and saw everybody looking up at the ceiling in one corner of the bar. There was a grand piano descending and we could see the feet of a girl dancing on top of it. On top of the piano was a girl we couldn't believe. What a sight !! 44 in. of silicone splender. Later on (we didn't know anything about her at the time), we found out it was Carol Dodda (sp. ?) I can still remember it vividly fifty five years later. I read she died several years ago - 2015.

Me too! I looked at my yearbook not too long ago and wow, the skirts were short. :D

I have had just one wreck in my lifetime of driving that I caused. I was 16, and right in front of the high school a co-ed in a miniskirt bent down to pick up something she dropped. For some reason my attention to driving was just not happening, and I was forced to stare at her. Those 16 year old hormones are hard to resist. I ended up rear ending a Buick Roadmaster from the mid 50s and my 1960 VW bug took the brunt of damage.

Our school dress code was that a girl's skirt had to come to the level of her thumbs with her arms relaxed and at her side. Stand up now, hold your arms at your sides. Look where your thumbs are. That was the hemline of most of the girls. :cool::cool:

When you consider the current environment, it's hard to believe that places like Tilted Kilt, Flying Saucer, Twin Peaks, Bombshells, Bone Daddy's, Ojos Locos, Chula's, Racks, Mugs & Jugs, and Hooters are still in business. I passed a Hooters the other day and that occurred to me.
