Tipo 184 starter kit

While researching a car for a PARF reply, I stumbled upon this Alfa Tipo 184 build on Youtube. Some of you may have heard of Ant Anstead ( I hadn't) "wheeler dealers". Ant built a tribute Tipo 158 using Mazda Miata components in 12 weeks. He is now selling kits. There is a whole series on the build.

Truthfully he uses multiple cars an MG chassis, Alfa engine and Mazda components. Personally I think it would have been neat to use all Alfa components.

Garage
Ant made it look easy in his show about the build.

That is a toy for someone with a garage or storage space to keep it. And you need a tow pig and trailer to haul it to a track. I doubt it is street legal so it is a track toy.

I wonder if any of the historic races would allow it.

Cool toy, but not for me.

This is the 2nd one he has built. The first used a MG frame. The 2nd one was a custom frame. The kit uses a custom tubular frame.

This is the first. He is modifying an MG TD frame. The kits must be based on the custom frame.

This isn't the first time Anstead has built a 158 replica. He previously used parts from an MG donor car to build a 158 for his Master Mechanic series, which was featured on F1 Geeks.

Here is a picture of the new kit and frame.
